KNOTTY REVIEWS: Wet n Wild, NYX, Loreal

Yesterday I wore 4 of the products I bought in last weekend's haul.
I'm gonna do a review of all 4 in one post because why not?!

Loreal true match foundation in cappuccino N8
I bought 3 different foundations and I was very excited to try all of them, especially this one because I had seen ads about it.   In the bottle it looked lighter than the other foundations but it was the darkest on display so I went for it. Now, honey when I started applying it-I thought I was gonna look like an oompah-loompah. The orange undertones are mad obvious in this foundation and I was so scared. But as I let it sit it did exactly as promised and matched my skin. Can I say a perfect match at that?! I did still feel like I had makeup on but it didn't feel so cakey. I also didn't look like a total greaseball at the end of the night. Which was great.

Wet n Wild: Berry Shimmer Blush + Shimmer Pallete in Hollywood Boulevard
Okay! Honey chile, this combo was great for my skin. The blush was a great tone and added that little something without being overwhelming! The highlight had me feeling myself and showed up great on photos! If you're looking for a highlight we that makes your skin look on the fleetest of fleek without wrecking your coin purse this is it, girl!

NYX Butter Gloss in Tiramisu
I have heard a lot of great things about this Buttergloss because of this whole nude lippie/Kylie Jenner biz and I thought I'd see what the hype was about. A lot of beauty gurus love this look and I'm really just trying not to look like Tyrone Biggums so I thought why not buy a gloss? On its own this gloss is NOT FOR ME. It's very sticky and makes me look like a crack fiend. But I applied it on top of my wet n wild brown liner and it worked great. After a couple hours and my lunch break it did start to peel on my inner lip but it wore for a good 4 hours. I honestly love the other butter glosses I have and they have been holy grail products of mine but maybe this one needs some getting used to.

Hope y'all enjoyed this review! Feel free to let me know what you think and Y'all come back now!

#FOTD feat Black Radiance!

Hey y'all!
So last weekend I bought some new products and most of them were from Black Radiance so I thought why not do a review and full face composed of their products?! There are also some staple products included. Hope you enjoy!

Eye/Brows:
Jordana Fabu-brow
Black radiance fine line liquid eyeliner
Black radiance true complexion concealer- darkest 8014

Lips:
NYX lip liner in currant
Black radiance lipstick-5004

Face:
Black radiance bb cream-brown sugar
Elf bronzer

So lets start with the bb cream which was just so perfect. I melted right into my skin like it was specially made for me! I'm usually not a fan of liquid foundation or creams but it didn't feel like I was wearing too much at all. I liked how it felt like my skin almost. The bb cream is also super creamy and moisturizing and has an SPF of 15 which protects you from the sun and aids in anti aging! The concealer was also quite great but I even questioned if I needed it since the cream did such a great job. It comes in two shades which can help equal out your undertones or be used alone. The liquid eyeliner was nice and thin but considering I have been using liner pens it took some getting used to. Lastly, the oldest thing from Black radiance I own, their lipstick. This lippie is a iridescent fuschia and looks wonderful paired with a dark plum liner. I always get tons of compliments and looks. This lippie goes on smooth and dries matte. It is also pretty long wearing and I only reapplied because I like how opaque the color is. Overall, I like how long lasting all of the products were. Everything lasted my whole 10 hr day. I got a little oily at the end of the day but that's expected with my skin type. Black radiance is very affordable and can be bought at most retailers like Target and Walmart. Their products are gluten and cruelty free while also being brown girl friendly, which I love!
Talk to you guys soon!

Why I'm annoyed by #relationshipgoals

Hey dolls!
So today I'm just ranting about #relationshipgoals and #goals and what's wrong with these memes and trending topics. I find these hashtags extremely comical. I usually take them as a joke until I realize people seriously see these things as goals. I hate how it transcended from a genuine to overused hashtag. I once saw a meme with a couple of stoners surrounded by money and it said #relationshipgoals. Like really?! Y'all need to get the f#%^ outta here with that. Those are definitely not my goals. Here are all the things that are wrong with this ignorant hashtag:

1. Our Generation is incredibly impressionable.
As much as we all try to deny that we don't care what others think, we definitely do! Once we see that this is what everyone views as goals we now view that thing as goals. I'm not being extreme or dramatic, they may not exactly want to be a trap queen the next day but they view it as cool. Like that's "happening". Trapping is actually incredibly hip now. Selling dope is cool now? yeah. Do not be surprised when you see little jimmy selling blunts. I feel like this has a long lasting effect on children's minds. Children are growing up even faster than I did at their age.

2. We are breeding this comparison spirit
I have always been taught that no fingers are ever alike. Every one has their call to glory according to God's plan for them. When we idolize a couple and how they found love or how in love they are we are bringing a very big comparison into the minds of young adults and teens. Our love story will probably be nothing like their's but these ideas will make us strive for some things that were never made for us. My goals are different from others and so are my relationship goals. What one may view as great another may view as sub-par. We are also making our generation less opinionated because now every one is trying to fit in. Be opinionated and be different. Do not compare, it just breeds self hatred.

3. Let's highlight real goals not your cousin Dey Dey 'n em.
I'm not gonna lie, I initially really liked this hashtag but not its over used and distasteful Ala twitter and I cannot stand it. How is relationship goals a hood nigga and his trap queen? I'm sorry but we're over here trying to promote ourselves not demote ourselves. I also feel that young women should focus on #singlegoals for a quick minute. Some women find their soulmate in high school and some find them later on in life. Be happy with yourself and love who you are without a man because truth be told a relationship will just highlight everything wrong. If you don't love yourself you will not be in the right state of mind to love someone else. Hint: hopping from one bed to another is not the way, but to each his own. We need to start showing positive images on the web because all we show are these ugly things and we wonder why our generation lacks stability and independence. This is why. We need to abandon the bandwagon.

Welp, that's my spiel guys. These are all my opinions but feel free to let me know what you think!
